About us

The company TISSUPOR AG was founded in 2001 as a subsidiary of Bischoff Textil AG, in St. Gallen.

The TISSUPOR® 3D wound pad was developed in an interdisciplinary project. It was initiated by MedTech of the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (OPET) in Bern. The project was supported by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research (EMPA) in St. Gallen, the Swiss Textile College in Wattwil and the companies Flawa AG and Bischoff Textil AG.

It was Edgar Morand who always believed in the medical and economic success of TISSUPOR® 3D. Therefore, he acquired the exclusive rights to this product in 2015 and re-founded Tissupor AG in 2016. However, the now independent company Tissupor AG continues to work closely with the company Bischoff Textil AG.

Both companies share a high level of quality awareness and guarantee high-quality products – today and in the future.

Tissupor AG attaches great importance to optimal and certified processes.
Only through this has it been able to produce the world's first 3-dimensional wound pad, which enables wounds to heal up to 3x faster.

All companies involved in the complex production are closely involved in the entire production process.

Today, Tissupor AG is led by Edgar Morand as CEO. He ensures that the TISSUPOR® 3D wound pad is continuously developed and lives up to an ISO-certified high-tech product at all times.
